PETITION NO. 376: BAY TRAIL BETWEEN CHARMAN ROAD, MENTONE AND NEPEAN HIGHWAY, MORDIALLOC

Petition presented by the Member for Mordialloc (9 August 2006) — Requesting that, in relation to foreshore vegetation areas between Charman Road, Mentone, and Nepean Highway, Mordialloc, the House —

(a) requires the Department of Sustainability and Environment and Parks Victoria to prevent the construction of a bicycle/pedestrian path along or through the cliff top vegetation or foreshore vegetation;

(b) requires VicRoads and the City of Kingston to construct a behind-the-kerb bicycle path along the beach side of Beach Road; and

(c) requires the Department of Sustainability and Environment and the City of Kingston to retain cliff top and cliff vegetation and dirt tracks, and to improve vegetation and picnic areas — To be considered (Ms Lindell). .
